Killed By 9V Batteries

Overshadowed by the bigger Germany, Austria hasn't had that many bands that made it big international. Apart from Sans Secours about ten years ago, and maybe also Valina, there are only few bands known outside the Alp Republic. Killed By 9V Batteries are working hard to change the situation, with their second album on Siluh Records (Escape Plans Make It Hard To Wait For Success) offering gritty noise rock which manages to be firmly rooted in the guitar music of the Nineties without neglecting to add contemporary touches.

Killed By 9V Batteries
Having a played a furious if short show the day before at the d:qliq, unfortunately only in front of a few curious people, the Austrians used their (sun)day off to pay us a visit at Radio ARA. This was only the beginning of their tour with Italian duo Schonwald, but if they continue with that much charisma and ferocity, they should be able to convince their audiences with feedback heavy guitar music that doesn't care about current trends.
